Think about your experiences as a reader - throughout your life so far:
as a child        as a "tween"        as a young teen
as an older teen     in between       college

Freewrite in response to at least one of the following questions:
a.) What barriers have you faced at various stages in your life as
a reader?  What challenging reading experiences have you had?
b.) What supported/helped you develop as a reader?  What
positive reading experiences have you had?
c.) What were times you felt like an insider/outsider in relation to
reading?
